When Benny Weber is just 14 years old, a tragic accident involving his father suddenly turns him into a half-orphan. Caught up in his grief, he meets the younger Lucas in the playground. After some initial difficulties, the two become best friends. When Benny realizes that he feels more for Lucas than just friendship, he decides to go abroad to study. The fact that he learns the truth about his father reinforces his decision. With a heavy heart, he says goodbye to his grandparents and writes Lucas a letter explaining why he is leaving the country, but Lucas does not receive the letter. So he doesn't know where his best friend has gone. The worry about Benny and the slow realization that he has more feelings for him almost drive Lucas crazy. And that's not all. Years later, Benny returns to his hometown and the two meet again by chance on her playground.
